Do nip green products contain melamine?

No melamine is used in the manufacture of nip green products.

 

How can nip green products be disposed of?

nip green products contain a very high proportion of renewable raw materials. The products are not compostable. The material used is 100% recyclable, there is currently no suitable collection scheme for such products. Consumer goods made of plastic as well as bio-based plastic (e.g. soothers, crockery, cutlery) can be disposed of with the residual waste, packaging can be disposed of with the dual system recycling scheme existing in your area (in Germany this is the Green Dot, Grüner Punkt). Please obtain information about the recycling systems in your region for the best waste disposal options.
 

 

Can food in the nip green cups and bowls be heated in the microwave?

Our nip green products are melamine and BPA free, which is one of the reasons why food can be safely heated in the microwave in the cups and bowls.
 

 

Do the nip green products have a coating capable of releasing substances into the food?

The nip green products have no coatings whatsoever, meaning that there are no substances that may be released either.
 

 

Why do nip green products not consist of 100% or only 94% or 90% renewable raw materials?

The main components of the material consist of 100% renewable raw materials. Depending on the nip green product in question, the materials are based on either sugar cane, carbohydrates (sugar, starch) or vegetable oils (not palm oil). Additives and coloured granules approved for materials and articles coming into contact with food are also used. Additives are necessary to achieve the desired material properties (e.g. fracture behaviour, workability) and colour. Our information on material composition refers to the minimum content of renewable raw materials after the product has been manufactured.

 

Are the nip green products fragile?

The nip green products are not different from other plastic tableware made of polypropylene (PP) in terms of fracture behaviour.
