As a manufacturer of baby products, our company bears a special responsibility toward future generations. That is why the concept of sustainability for future generations has always been an integral part of our corporate philosophy. For us, it is not only important what our products are made of, but also how we manufacture them.
Many Ways to Make Things More Grandparent-Friendly
Since the requirements for our products vary and the availability of innovative raw materials is limited, we take a variety of approaches.
For example, we currently use renewable raw materials derived from sugarcane, carbohydrates, and vegetable oils (excluding palm oil), as well as natural latex. In addition, we work with materials that can be traced, either fully or partially, to renewable raw materials through the ISCC Plus-certified mass balance method. And, wherever possible, we avoid using plastic film or use only film with a high recycled content. The paper is also made from recycled material.
So what does ISCC PLUS certified mean?
ISCC is a multi-stakeholder organization founded in 2010 to support the transition between circular economy and bio-economy. You can also find more information here: https://www.iscc-system.org/. There are six basic ISCC requirements for agricultural commodities, these apply to farms and plantations producing sustainable biomass under ISCC:
Principle 1: Protect land with high biodiversity value or high carbon stock.
Principle 2: Environmentally sound production that protects soil, water and air
Principle 3: Safe working conditions
Principle 4: Respect for human, labor and land rights
Principle 5: Compliance with laws and international treaties
Principle 6: Good management practices and continuous improvement
Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency
